Volunteer Program
Program Launching in 2025
Who we are.
The Vessels of Honor Intercessory Prayer Ministry is a Christian faith-based nonprofit organization that empowers communities of Intercessors across the world through the Spirit of Prayer. We offer individuals and families the opportunity to be globally trained and mentored for the Nations of this world in biblical strategies, tactics, and methods to infiltrate, eradicate, and dominate effective and methodical Spiritual Warfare. We serve individuals, families, and communities with prayer, community food services, after school literary programs and mentorship programs.
Who should volunteer.
The Vessels of Honor Intercessory Prayer Ministry offers several programs and projects for individuals 18 and older that want to be a part of a global movement to ADVOCATE, IMPACT, and TRANSFORM communities. There is a place for you to use your gifts, skills, and talents to make a positive IMPACT in changing lives and communities. Please note, accessibility accommodations can be made at any project or program.
Why you should volunteer?
Volunteering has proven to be beneficial in many ways and addresses positive impact on the volunteer as well as the recipient of services. Listed are some of ways volunteerism benefits the volunteer:
1. Volunteering builds self-confidence & self-esteem
Doing good for others and the community helps to create a natural sense of accomplishment helping us feel better about ourselves and can also give you a sense of pride and identity, helping to boost your self-confidence further by taking you out of your natural comfort zone and environment.
2. Volunteering provides a sense of community
Helps to overcome loneliness, isolation, and broaden your social circle and social skills. Volunteering in local communities can be a fun way of meeting new people with similar interest and shared and can help you feel connected to those you are helping in the community. This experience may make you want to get involved with other aspects of your community, such as local politics or advocating for programs you believe are important.
3. Volunteering is important to physical health
Interestingly, volunteering has distinct health benefits that can boost your mental and— perhaps more surprisingly—physical health. Indeed, a growing body of evidence suggests that people who give their time to others might benefit from lower blood pressure and a longer lifespan.
4. Volunteering is important to mental health
When it comes to volunteering being important for mental health, the benefits are clear. It can help counteract the effects of stress, depression, and anxiety. Indeed, the social contact aspect of helping others can have a profound effect on your overall psychological well-being.
5. Volunteering is important for a sense of purpose
Because volunteering means choosing to work without receiving monetary compensation, people often choose to give their time to issues or organizations they feel are important or have a special connection to. Volunteering helps address a social problem that is meaningful to you and in turn helps to build a sense of purpose, which furthermore boosts your own happiness. and gives your life meaning and a new direction.
6. Volunteering teaches you valuable skills
The training and hands-on experience you gain while volunteering can help you learn new skills as well as build upon ones you already have. For example, if you advocate and raise awareness or funding for a cause that interests you, you’ll gain valuable communication, public speaking, marketing and other hard and soft skills. You can then put these skills on your resume to show employers how you build relationships outside of work in addition to any personal interests that can set you apart from other candidates.
